The ability to change your mind and follow through with it says more about you than you might think.
Just as we feel like we understand ourselves and know what we're doing in life, we can do something unexpected and be thrown into an abyss of uncertainty. We can be overcome with the urge to change courses of study, to move overseas, or to switch jobs and industries.
But of course, change is the only constant in life. As Mark Hurlstone, a lecturer at the School of Psychological Science at UWA says, following through with change can be crucial for our personal development.
On behalf of VICE, I spoke to Mark about the science of psychology behind changing your mind, and what that says about us as individuals.
